As I began a painting, a sculpture or any other piece I may be planning, I consider the process as my reward, and the finished piece as a beginning to my next. I work in series, perhaps three to five pieces or as many as twenty.
I have been told by some that I do not take art as seriously as I should. I believe this misconception arises because I enjoy art and the art process so immensely. My nearly forty years in art speaks to the depth of my commitment and how seriously I am immersed. I am in awe of art and what its creative process does to me. It is my true passion!
